The Gangs All Here:
Meet our team of highly trained and experienced speech language pathologists dedicated to providing the best care possible for our patients.

Alyssa C Sanders, Manager
MS, CCC-SLP
Alyssa participated in two semester externships at A Place for Speech during her Master's program, and upon graduation, was thrilled to rejoin the team, eventually becoming a level III Oral Placement Therapist with a focus in airway protection and oromyofunctional disorders. She loves working with all patient populations and building relationships to help them reach their full potential-- especially in the areas of reading and writing. In another lifetime, Alyssa was a high school English teacher, so she loves incorporating literature into any/all sessions as a way to enhance speech, language, pragmatic, and cognitive communication skills.

Audri Lopez, Lead Therapist
MS, CCC-SLP
Audri's bright smile and contagious joy made her the perfect addition to the APFS family in 2024. Since then, she's been thriving working with the pediatric population to correct language and articulation disorders, as well as pediatric feeding disorders and anxieties, more commonly known by its acronym ARFID. She's eager to deepen her understanding of oral placement therapy to better support the needs of her patients. In her spare time, she attempts to garden (we've been told the plants are 'mostly' alive), plays piano, and is on a sourdough journey.

Ashley Martinez, Clinical Fellow
MS, CF-SLP
Ashley recently graduated from Texas A&M University- Kingsville with eyes wide open to the endless possibilities within our current scope of practice. Immediate career interests include early childhood intervention for children with developmental language disorders and fluency disorders. She's an escape room enthusiast, dog lover, and multi-instrumentalist! If you like listening to the clarinet, piano, and/or ukulele-- you should meet Ashley! But even if you don't-- you should still meet Ashley
