Speech Therapy for Adults

At A Place for Speech, we offer specialized speech therapy services for adults with communication (and related) difficulties due to cerebrovascular accidents, degenerative disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and more. Our experienced therapists work with each individual to develop a personalized treatment plan that helps them communicate effectively and confidently so they may continue/regain independence to fully participate in their preferred activities of daily living-- like family game night!

Speech Therapy for Children

We specialize in providing speech therapy services for children of all ages. Our team of licensed and certified therapists work with children who have speech and language disorders, developmental delays, and other communication challenges. We provide a fun and safe environment where children can learn and grow.

We specialize in oral placement therapy (OPT), a small (and underrated) niche in the speech and language community. With our trainings, we target components of the speech machanism that are often overlooked--veering away from traditional therapy practices-- and instead, focusing on motor planning with multimodal cues.

We treat patients across the lifespan with a variety of disorders and incorporate principles of ABA therapy into our own therapy practices. We make it a priority to work with families so that our therapy has an opportunity to generalize into activities of daily living. We also pride ourselves in our consistency. A patient has the same therapist throughout their time at A Place for Speech so that relationships can build and progress can be easily monitored.
